(Strong's #3061 — Noun Masculine — loimos — loy-mos' )

"a pestilence, any deadly infectious malady," is used in the plural in Luke 21:11 (in some mss., Matthew 24:7 ); in Acts 24:5 , metaphorically, "a pestilent fellow." See FELLOW.
