an English Wesleyan minister, was born in York. He was converted in his twenty-first year; entered the ministry in 1810; preached on the Driffield, Glasgow, and other circuits and died suddenly in Portsmouth, Aug. 23, 1830, aged forty-two. "I scarcely ever knew a person who had fewer infirmities, nor were they of a nature to form any serious drawback on the very great excellency of his Christian character" (Rev. Daniel Isaac).
