a Methodist Episcopal minister was born at Booneville, N. Y., May 10, 1820. He re moved to Bainbridge, O., with his parents, in 1833; received an early religious training; experienced religion in 1839; was licensed to preach in 1840, and admitted into the Erie Conference, in which he labored with much acceptability to the close of his life, cbt. 22, 1872 Mr. Burgess was a man of energy and great faith.
