a Methodist Episcopal minister; was born near Gettysburg, Pa., Nov. 4,1825. He was converted in his youth; received license to preach in 1848; and in the following year was admitted into the Baltimore Conference, in which he labored until his sudden death, Nov. 10, 1875. Mr. Castleman was a careful student, an approved preacher, an industrious, faithful, affectionate, efficient pastor, and a devout Christian.
