a Swedish theologian, studied at Upsal, and taught physics there in 1637, and theology in 1641; was received as doctor by that faculty in 1647, and in 1654, after having filled other ecclesiastical positions, was appointed bishop of Strengnas. He died March 14, 1674, leaving, among other writings, Admonitio Consolatoria, etc. (Upsal, 1629): — De Rerum Duratione (ibid. 1631): — Hexilogica (ibid. 1636): — De Disciplina Ecclesiastica (Stockholm, 1661).
