an English divine, who was rector of St. Mary Aldermanbury, London, and chaplain to the archbishop of Canterbury. His "Remains contain much ingenious and solid criticism." They are commended by John Wesley, ahd also by Charles Wesley, who took from them some hints for hymns. He died in 1655.
