a Lutheran theologian of Germany, was born in Thuringia, March 2, 1765, and died February 5, 1838, superintendent and member of consistory. He published, Summarien uber das Neue Testament (Leipsic, 1831-38, 4 volumes): — Lehrbuch der christlichen Glaubens- und Sittenlehre (Gotha, 1825): — Liturgisches Handbuch zum Gebrauch fur Prediger (Leipsic, 1805).
