a Jewish teacher of German, was born in 1792 at Frankfort, where he died, Nov. 19, 1864. He wrote and spoke for the emancipation of his coreligionists. He published, Fragmente aus dem Talmud und den Rabbinen (Frank kt. 111-12): — Dcasjunge Detschland und die Judenz (ibid. 1836): — Die erste sdchsische Kammer und die Juden (Hanau, 1837): — Wagener.
