Hungarian Neo-Hebraic poet; lived at the beginning of the nineteenth century. He was the author of the Purim drama "Goral ha-Ẓaddiḳim" (The Lot of the Righteous), which appeared in Vienna, 1821. He belonged to the same family as Meïr Kohn Bistritz, and is considered a good epigrammatist.
Bibliography:
- Fürst, Bibliotheca Judaica, 1:120;
- Kayserling, in Winter and Wünsche, Jüdische Litteratur, 3:896 (both mistakenly cite Bistritz's work as Gemul ha-Ẓaddiḳim [The Reward of the Righteous]);
- Berliner, Beiträge zur Gesch. des Jüdischen Drama, appended to his edition of R. Moses Zacuto's Yesod 'Olam, p. , Berlin, 1874.
