(Strong's #3409 — Verb — misthoo — mis-tho'-o )

"to let out for hire," is used in the Middle Voice, signifying "to hire, to engage the services of anyone by contract," Matthew 20:1,7 .

Note: In Matthew 20:9 there is no word for "hired" in the original.
