"whole, healthy," is used metaphorically of "sound speech," Titus 2:8 . See WHOLE.

(Strong's #5198 — Verb — hugiaino — hoog-ee-ah'ee-no )

"to be healthy, sound in health" (Eng., "hygiene," etc.), translated "safe and sound" in Luke 15:27 , is used metaphorically of doctrine, 1 Timothy 1:10; 2 Timothy 4:3; Titus 1:9; 2:1; of words, 1 Timothy 6:3 , RV (AV, "wholesome," RV marg., "healthful"); 2 Timothy 1:13; "in the faith," Titus 1:13 (RV marg., "healthy"); "in faith," Titus 2:2 (RV marg., ditto).
