German author; lived at Dresden in the first quarter of the nineteenth century. He wrote, together with his brother Simon Bondi, the "Or Ester," a Hebrew dictionary of the Latin words occurring in the Talmud, Targumim and Midrashim. Some of his essays are also extant in the periodical "Jedidja" (1:117-125; 3:72,196; 4:35).
