טָעַם
(1) to taste (as in all the cognate languages)

(c) to perceive by the taste or flavour, 2 Samuel 19:36. Metaph.
(2) to perceive mentally [or spiritually], Proverbs 31:18. Psalms 34:9, טַעֲמוּ וּרְאוּ כִּי־טוֹב יְהֹוָה “taste (perceive) and see that Jehovah is good.”
